I am sure you have heard about all the recent unrest in London recently. You would have to be living in a bubble not to have. There has been rioting and looting in the streets for more than four days.
Like many riots it all began with what might have been unreasonable force used by the police. Certainly it did not justify this crazy riot which protesters believe is a political protest against police brutality. But is it?
Theft is the Reason
Let’s face it – the real reason rioters continue to go nuts and loot stores is simple – they are thieves – nothing more, nothing less! You know who agrees with me? None other than the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Addressing parliament, which has been called back from its summer break to address the riots, Mr. Cameron said rioters behind Britain's worst violence in decades would be tracked down and punished.
"We will track you down, we will find you, we will charge you, we will punish you. You will pay for what you have done," he said.
He dismissed the rioters as no more than opportunistic criminals and denied the unrest was linked to planned spending cuts, or the death of 29-year-old man Mark Duggan.
Way Out of Hand
So far the Metropolitan Police has arrested 888 people in connection with violence, disorder and looting in London since Saturday, and 371 people have been charged.
There have been more than 300 arrests in other English cities.
About 16,000 police officers have been deployed in London for the past two nights in response to the riots, which have seen four people killed across the country and dozens of shops and homes burnt down.
Common people – show some common sense. Do not act like uncivilized animals!
